Saban Entertainment is teaming with Long John Silver's for a promotion centered on Fox Family Channel's animated TV series "Space Goofs," offering 1.5 million premiums based on the program with the purchase of kids meals. The promotion, handled by Strottman International, Irvine, Calif., runs through the end of May, backed by in-store point-of-purchase materials.

Women's Sports & Fitness this month launches "Series 1999," the magazine's first-ever series of races to inspire women to be healthy and achieve new goals. The first event, a half marathon and 5K race, is slated for May 9 in New York's Central Park, backed by sponsors Blister Block, Brooks, General Motors Corp.'s Pontiac, Lipton's Wish-Bone, Nabisco and Schering-Plough Corp.'s Claritin. Other events include cycling, skating and skiing later this year.

Cosmopolitan and Bacardi & Martini USA's Bacardi drew more than 2,000 people to participate in its second annual "Bacardi Guy Search," in which single men were invited to audition for an appearance in the magazine's special "All About Men" summer issue, on newsstands next month.
