Internet guide next month will film its first TV commercials, its first from agency Margeotes/Fertitta & Partners, New York. The campaign will feature several of the human guides who run sites, one guide said. The company, which went public last week, declined to comment. Margeotes has already created print ads for the $20 million account.

America Online said last week it would lay off up to 1,000 employees as a result of the integration with recently acquired Netscape Communication Corp. The company will divide into four groups reporting to AOL President-Chief Operating Officer Bob Pittman.
