Procter & Gamble Co. named Deb Henretta group president-Asia, putting her among the elite of the company's senior executives and in prime position to someday become CEO. Ms. Henretta, 45, who became president of P&G's Southeast Asia business, including India and Australia less than two years ago, will assume her new duties July 1.

United Airlines has awarded its $100 million-plus global media-buying and -planning account to Starcom USA, which beat Omnicom Group's OMD and WPP Group's Mediaedge:cia in a review. The business previously had been with Starcom's Publicis Groupe sibling Fallon, Minneapolis, which continues to handle the airline's creative advertising.

Fresh off its contentious breakup with longtime agency Cramer-Krasselt, CareerBuilder opened its search for a new shop to handle its $60 million creative advertising account. Said to be pitching the Chicago-based job website are the hometown offices of Publicis Groupe's Leo Burnett, Interpublic Group of Cos.' DraftFCB and Omnicom Group's DDB, along with Boston's Arnold, part of Havas. The timetable for the decision was unclear.

The Council of Better Business Bureaus and the National Advertising Review Council has tapped former Federal Trade Commission official Elaine Kolish to lead the new child-obesity initiative the CBBB and 10 companies unveiled last year. Under the program, dubbed the Children's Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative, each of the companies will make formal public pledges of steps they will take to center their kids' food advertising more firmly on more healthful food choices.
