Chank Diesel, T26 and Veer

Here's something a little off the beaten type path: Minneapolis font designer Chank Diesel and AIGA Minnesota announce the availability of three new fonts, created by AIGA Minnesota 2003 Design Camp attendees. Mr. Twiggy, Twigdancer and Sauertwiggo are organic fonts created entirely with materials that campers found around the grounds of Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minn., during the October 2003 event. Diesel challenged campers to use their creativity to create found-art letterforms, using only materials in the area, like leaves, twigs, flower petals, cigarette butts, rocks, fish bones and wild berries. The found objects were arranged and mounted on canvas boards, which were photographed and used to create the new Design Camp fonts, available both as RGB jpeg files and traditional True Type fonts.
