Kaboom, Lucky 21, Independent Beef Up Production Rosters
Kaboom Productions has welcomed Alden Wallace to the company's roster. Wallace began his career as a still photographer, shooting campaigns and magazine editorial for clients including Tory Burch, Miller Genuine Draft, Nike, Google, Universal Studios, and Post Cereal, among others. He has produced multiple shoots for Mercedes, Oakley and Motorola.
Director Norry Niven has joined Lucky 21. Niven's projects include campaigns for Gatorade, McDonald's, Ford, Lincoln, Showtime, Nintendo, Nestle and Visa. He has worked in commercial, music and film with a variety of artists and actors including Don Cheadle, Claire Danes, William H. Macy, Queen Latifah, Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Jon Voight, and also directed celebrity athletes. Niven started his directing career at Hollywood-based The End,and launched his own commercial production companies Stonecore Film in 1990 and Three (One) O in 2008.
Rory Kelleher has joined Chromista. Kelleher has been directing commercials for 10 years and has created spots for clients including Coors Light, Verizon, Axa, Behr, Crocs and Guinness. He worked at Touchstone Pictures in design and began focusing his career on advertising. His projects include Pixar's Buzz Lightyear mini adventures as well as zombies and evil clowns for Knott's Berry Farm.
Independent has signed two directors to its roster. Comedy Director Michael Humphrey's portfolio of work spans commercials, experiential activations, short films and music videos. He spent a couple of years in Australia and New Zealand before returning to the U.K.
Director and former ad agency creative Rodrigo Saavedra will be represented by Independent as a director in the U.K., Ireland and the Netherlands. The native of Brazil has been a director and partner for the last three years at Landia, which will continue to represent him in Latin America and Spain (in France, he works with Wanda). Before that, he was creative director & head of film at Sao Paulo agency Africa and creative director at Santo Buenos Aires. Earlier in his career, he worked at Mother London and Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam. Since 2013, he has directed TV and interactive campaigns for Budweiser, Chivas, Volkswagen, Havaianas, Corona, and a love story for Scrabble.
New York City-based creative production collective Sibling Rivalry, has added Shelby Ross as executive producer. Ross brings over 20 years of commercial and film production experience after honing his skills at Epoch Films and Smuggler. He then went on to create and executive produce global campaigns for Gatorade, HP, Northrop Grumman, Google, Samsung, Verizon, and Save the Children.
Post FactoryNY, a SIM Group company, has appointed David Feldman as senior vice president for features and television. Feldman brings 20 years of post-production experience in sales, operational, and production roles. At Company 3 and Deluxe, where he served as director of feature sales, he managed relations with studios, networks, independent producers and others for post services ranging from dailies through digital cinema delivery. Previously, as senior digital intermediate producer for Company 3 and Encore Hollywood, he supervised post-production finishing work for studio and independent features.
Voice Director Karen Goora has joined Vapor RMW audio house. She has over 15 years of experience and spent over a decade at Toronto-based audio house, Grayson Matthews, as well as a stint at Disney. She has collaborated with celebrities from Meryl Streep to Miley Cyrus to "Simpsons" voice veteran Nancy Cartwright, in the role of Darth on the Disney show "The Replacements." The studio will soon be opening a studio in Montreal.
Cutters has promoted Nick Chiou to editor. The Chicago native began his career as an assistant editor at post-production companies, joining Cutters as an assistant in 2011. Recent commercial credits include spots for American Airlines, Citibank, Disney, Nike and Spalding.
