Hibon Joins Psyop, Biscuit Signs Big Red Button Duo and More
Director Ben Hibon has signed with Psyop Film and Television and will be joining its Vancouver office as the company expands into feature film and television media. Hibon's work includes designing and directing the Academy Award-nominated "The Tale of Three Brothers" animated sequence from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1." He has worked with Hollywood directors including Zack Snyder and Tarsem Singh, and served as a designer for Rupert Sanders' "Snow White and the Huntsman" and Breck Eisner's "The Last Witch Hunter." Prior to that, he worked on TV commercials, branded content, and video game projects for Disney, Warner Bros, Universal Pictures, Microsoft, Sony, and others.
Big Red Button, the directorial duo of Johnny Burns and Pier van Tijn, has joined Biscuit Filmworks U.K.'s roster for commercial representation. The duo earned the British Arrow Award in 2009 for an anti-drug campaign. They later created spots for Go Compare starring Professor Stephen Hawking and "Chav Tranquiliser" for Paddy Power, as well as ads for Virgin and Carlsberg.
Lucky Post has added editor Travis Aitken to its roster. He previously worked at Mad River Post in Los Angeles where he edited a Southwest Airlines campaign for then-GSD&M producer Jessica Berry, who is now an executive producer at Lucky Post. After Mad River Post, he worked at 501 Post, where he targeted a U.S. Hispanic audience for Miller Genuine Draft and Dominos. He has collaborated with directors such as Noam Murro, Albert Brooks, Lenny Dorfman and Tony Kaye.
Mike Jurkovac and Igor Kovalik of TheBridge.co have named Mark Sitley as executive producer as the production studio expands into agency and artist-led branded projects. TheBridge.co has produced content and music videos for Will.i.am, David Guetta, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Miley Cyrus, Linkin Park and Charlie Puth. Several of these projects originated as integrated, cross-platform initiatives for such marketers as Intel, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), Victoria's Secret, the United Nations, Sports Illustrated, Western Union and UNICEF.
Music and sound production company Found Objects (FO) has hired Jennie Armon as executive producer. She has worked for music companies including Yessian, Amber Music and Butter Music as well as agencies such as Publicis and Tribal Worldwide. Armon has been collaborating for some time with Found Objects, which has partnered on projects for brands like IBM and Jaguar as well as artists including Kanye West and Philip Glass.
Editorial collective TwoPoint0 has added editor Terence Ziegler to its team. Ziegler has been editing commercials, promos, music videos and films for over 18 years. His recent work includes spots for American Express out of Ogilvy; Tide, Cheerios and Walmart for Saatchi & Saatchi NY; and ESPN for Wieden + Kennedy.
