Tool, Story Add Female Directors; and More Production Moves
Tool has signed Director and Photographer Danielle Levitt to the integrated production company's live-action roster. She has worked with Marc Jacobs, Reebok, Nike, Sprite and Old Spice. She has also photographed celebrity portraits for Jenna Lyons, Rick Owens and the cast of Broadway's "Waitress." And her work can be seen in Vanity Fair, The New York Times magazine, Time and GQ. Her commercial work includes directing campaigns for Apple, HP, Budweiser, Cadillac and Conde Nast publications.
Director Ky Dickens has joined Story for exclusive national representation in commercials. The documentary filmmaker has previously worked out of Chicago production houses MK Films Group and Conspiracy. Her advertising work includes campaigns for McDonald's, Tylenol, Huggies, Kohler, Wrangler, and the Illinois Lottery. Her documentary work includes "Fish Out of Water," "Sole Survivor," and the upcoming "Zero Weeks" and "The City that Sold America."
Joining Dickens is her longtime producer, Amy McIntyre, who previously worked at Big Deahl Productions in Chicago, and as a line producer in New York.
MediaMonks has appointed S. Jason Prohaska, and Gradwell Sears to the roles of managing director and creative director. Prohaska, the partner and managing director of Big Spaceship, has also held leadership positions at Mattel, Your Majesty Co., Method, and Hush. He is an original co-founding member of SoDA and began his career building fine art collections and visual imaging platforms for artists, collectors and museum foundations in the United States and Europe.
Sears returns to New York from AKQA's London office where he led global digital creative for Rolls-Royce, Virgin Holidays, Mini and BMW Art Car. He previously developed and directed the digital creative output for Kraftworks and Arnold Worldwide.
Anthony Marinelli/Music Forever is now representing and collaborating with Grammy and Oscar-nominated music team JoLi -- the songwriting and production team of Joshua Bartholomew and Lisa Harriton. The duo co-wrote and produced the "Everything Is Awesome" song from "The Lego Movie."
JoLi, or "pretty" in French, is a combination of the duo's first names. Harriton previously worked for two years as a keyboardist/backing vocalist for the Smashing Pumpkins. Bartholomew has spent time working with various instruments and on his own music.
10 Thousand Design has hired Senior Designers Dustin Yerks and Diana Quenomoen, and Associate Designer Nick Neary.
Yerks has more than a decade of experience in digital mediums and brand identity design, working with Allen Edmonds, Allstate, Asics, Harley-Davidson, IBM, Johnson & Johnson and Under Armour. Hybrid Designer Quenomoen has worked in traditional and interactive design, as well as art direction on projects for Target, Commerce Bank, Phillips Distilling Company, General Mills and Citibank.
Neary served in various marketing positions with creativity-focused companies before transitioning to graphic design.
Pink Riot Films, a food and beverage production company, has rebranded as Canteen, and includes Dog + Bone, Olaf van Gerwen, Toby Phillips, and Trey Nelson. Directors have previously shot work for Applebee's, Starbucks, Maker's Mark, Fage, Domino's Pizza, Cheerios, Outback Steakhouse, Hot Pockets, Hy-Vee and Ore-Ida, and they ahve worked with BBDO, Pitch, Mullen Lowe, CP&B and FCB.
Lisa Sabatino Lange has launched sales and talent management firm Ready Set. She worked for the past 12 years as in-house representative for Anonymous Content, Iconoclast, Somesuch, and Serial Pictures. The group includes Stinkfilm, Ring The Alarm, Final Cut and Sibling Rivalry.
Nice Biscuits has expanded and built upon its animation offerings by merging with Lumiere Studios, which will become Nice Biscuits' inhouse CG team. The new partnership will offer a full animation design and production studio.
