If you could have dinner with one person, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Maya Angelou. I am in love with her work and her poetry. She, kind of like my grandmother, has lived through so many different stages of this country, back when we were still dealing with the effects of slavery to the first Black president. So just understanding how her brilliant mind works and what she's been thinking about and feeling that would be the dinner I would do.
What are the top two social media sites you use on a regular basis?
I would say Instagram is the top one and then Snapchat.
What’s currently on your bedside reading list?
I've been reading a lot of self-help books actually. On my bed right now is “Manifestation Journal for Black Women: Law of Attraction Techniques, Exercises and Tools for Creating Wealth, Abundance, Success, Happiness and Joy," a book about manifestation and how to manifest and live your best life and have self-love. A lot of poetry, including “Flowers on the Moon” and “Chameleon Aura,” both by Billy Chapata.
What was the last show you binge-watched?
I'm actually re-watching all of “Game of Thrones” right now in preparation for “House of Dragon.”
At what age do you hope to retire?
I don't know if I'll ever fully retire, but I want to be in a space where I'm building and creating experiences and even smaller companies by the time I'm 50, I don't want to do the American 67 years old retire with a pension and you're done [thing]. I want to keep building things, but do it on a broader scale and for more companies in the next, hopefully, 20 years.
