The "human element" was on the tip of everyone's tongues at Ad Age Next, a two-day marketing conference in New York that featured speakers including Girlboss CEO Sophia Amoroso, Endeavor CMO Bozoma Saint John and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
Panels throughout the show examined topics like the effects of cannabis marketing, how next-gen transportation companies are working with local governments and changing the white bro culture of Silicon Valley–with diversity in marketing taking a front row seat throughout. Authenticity permeated the stage from the get-go, where Amoroso and others supported the notion to embrace imperfection.
"Not a week goes by that I'm not wondering: 'Am I doing this right? Am I going to repeat my past? Am I a fraud? Does my team like me?'" Amoroso said, concluding: "How can you learn without failing? It should be the most celebrated thing."
In keeping with the human element, we challenged Ad Age Next attendees and editors to share how they're solving problems in their organizations without the use of technology. Watch our video above to learn more.
