Music video master Mark Romanek directed "Dream On," a quiet, artful film of Jay Z reading a moving poem that debuted before his set at the "Made in America" festival, while Chris Sargent shot the moving immigrant story "Born the Hard Way," from Anomaly.
Visual master Frederic Planchon directed Apple's "Portrait of Her," the gorgeous spot that illustrated the multi-dimensional capabilities of the iPhone's Portrait Mode via the changing visage of singer Shannon Wise as she walks along city streets.
Spotify also teamed with Anonymous to pull of its ambitious "I'm With the Banned" campaign, a branded content effort that supported musicians affected by Trump's travel ban.
Its tie-up with Production Company of the Year Somesuch yielded notable films including Audi's "Daughter" Super Bowl spot directed by Aoife McArcle, Uniqlo's beautifully bizarre "Move," directed by Autumn de Wilde and the fantastic "Tiny Dancer" music video for Elton John from Max Weiland.
