Creativity Award 2019 Startup of the Year: Modern Fertility

This femtech company seeks to empower women hoping to conceive by making information about their fertility easily accessible. The centerpiece tool is a home testing kit that measures fertility hormones. The idea was inspired by one of the founders, who was charged $1,500 to get her fertility tested at a clinic; the Modern Fertility tool is $159. The simple pin-prick test is followed by: a physician’s report on a fertility dashboard, a one-on-one conversation with a fertility nurse, and access to the company’s Modern Women community and weekly webinars. The company also offers a free Timeline Tool to help women evaluate their fertility and see how it can change in the future. As of yearend 2018, the company said its sales increased tenfold over 2017.
