Geico's Ward Asks Marketers to Recommit to 'Magnetic' Marketing

CMO Says It's Time to Break the Cycle of the 'Ordinary'

Speaking at the ANA annual conference, Geico CMO Ted Ward asked attendees to strive for better, stronger, more potent campaigns. He argued that for whatever reason -- certainly, many reasons --marketing has come to lack impact and energy, and it's time that marketers "wake up our profession again," he said. "It ought to be fun. We have the keys to the castle. I'd suggest that we recommit ourselves to thinking big and acting bigger."
