Watch: Panasonic CMO on the company's CES and Olympics plans
Welcome to Ad Age Remotely, a streamed video segment focusing on the issues of the day.
In this live episode of Ad Age Remotely, E.J. Schultz is joined by Lauren Sallata, chief marketing officer at Panasonic Corporation of North America.
Panasonic has sponsored CES since the technology show debuted back in 1967. But the marketer has never dealt with the kind of disruption it will confront this year as the annual event goes virtual as result of COVID. Panasonic North American CMO Lauren Sallata discusses how the company is handling this year's event and gives a glimpse of what it might show off in the online-only affair that begins Monday.
She also discusses how the longtime Olympics sponsor is approaching the summer games in Tokyo, which are taking place a year later than originally planned as result of the pandemic. Sallata will also address how the company, known for its consumer electronics, is now active in multiple industries, from automotive tech to food service systems.
