Why It Won: The Seattle-based digital marketing agency's newest initiative is its very own "Shark Tank"-like competition. Everyone in the 40-person company pitches in, and small teams composed of people from different levels and departments work together for weeks to hone five-minute presentations for ideas that attack costs or grow revenue. The winning team gets a bonus, accolades and a budget to test its idea.
The agency's culture emphasizes teamwork in other ways, too. Point It staffers have daily Lunch Club in the kitchen, quarterly outings like Seattle Mariners games and seasonal annual events including a company ski and snowmobiling trip and a beach barbecue. There's also a weekly work-from-home day, and parking fees and gym memberships are reimbursed.
