No more waking up in the middle of a Netflix binge to discover that your favorite character is dead, or that adorable couple called it quits. Deeplocal devised these craftsy-meets-high-tech socks that pause the streaming service if you doze off mid-series. Part of the brand's MakeIt campaign, the digital effort provided users with Netflix-themed knitting patterns as well as schematics so they could DIY the smart footwear idea. Within days of launch last December, the socks generated serious media buzz, including live TV segment appearances, 300 million social impressions and more than 1 billion earned media impressions.
