Good Solutions, based in Pasadena, Calif., saw an advertising opportunity in an unlikely space: parks. It's one of the only shops in the country that connects brands with parks through campaigns and partnerships. The agency works with more than 20 state parks and prides itself on its employees' active lifestyles.
Small Agency of the Year, 1-10 Employees, Silver: Good Solutions

Last year, its campaign for The North Face encouraged people to visit local parks by distributing free park passes and loaning gear to first-time campers. The North Face saw a 30% spike in sales during the push and 370 million earned-media impressions.
Founded in 2003 by husband-and-wife team Chris and Shari Boyer, the firm had $2.7 million in revenue last year. Other clients include Nestlé USA and Coca-Cola.
"We have no aspirations to be a big agency," said Mr. Boyer, president and CMO of the eight-person shop. Its employees and clients enjoy the flexibility and personal touch that its small stature offers.
