For last year's Super Bowl, Snickers channeled the 1970s, portraying a hungry Marcia Brady as masculine actor Danny Trejo. This year, the brand went further back, all the way to the classic 1955 flick "The Seven Year Itch."

The ad, by BBDO, New York, reenacts the classic scene in which Marilyn Monroe steps over a breezy Subway grate, and well, you know the rest. Except in the ad, "Marilyn" is played by actor Willem Dafoe, who is more than a little cranky. When he is fed a Snickers, things go back to normal, and the real Marilyn appears. Eugene Levy plays a wisecracking film crew member who says, "this scene will never make the cut."

The ad continues the brand's "You're Not You When You're Hungry" campaign, which broke during the 2010 Super Bowl with a spot starring Betty White.
