Bob was as industrious as ever and fared well on the '09 awards circuit, thanks to Dayton/Faris' two-faced efforts for the NBA, and Trish Sie's viral choreography on Goodby's "Help the Honeybees" integrated push for Haagen-Dazs. Dayton/Faris returned with a new round of NBA spots and shot two rounds of Deutsch L.A.'s Cable Corp campaign for DirecTV. Multiple Bob names served on Crispin's BK roster, with Peter Care, Zach Math, Axel Laubscher and Bob Odenkirk all directing spots for the fast food giant. Funnyman Odenkirk also managed to take time from his acting (which included guest appearances on Breaking Bad) to shoot viral campaigns for BBDO/NY and Fedex, starring Fred Willard, as well as another for the Woo Agency and Samsung. Documentary director Davis Guggenheim applied his chops to the Obama Campaign film "A Mother's Promise" and also released a new doc feature, "It Might Get Loud," starring Jimmy Page, Jack White and Edge. Syd Garon, aka Syd+1 was also the creative mastermind behind the inspiring collection of clips for NASA's latest album, directing some of the videos and bringing in other talents like Marcel Dzama and Patrick Daughters to contribute.
