Everyone in this commercial has hair standing on end. They ignore each other's appearance as they socialize, but at the end of the spot an explanation appears: "The new 260 horsepower Ford Mustang. It will make your hair stand on end." After looking at too many car commercials that are 30 seconds of car, a car spot without a car has more impact. And the "Hair Effect" conveys the sense of power and speed more memorably than a racing vehicle.
