Euro RSCG has hired Andrew Crombie as CEO and Kevin Pereira as executive creative director. Mr. Crombie's career spans 20 years in the industry, with agencies such as Ogilvy, Batey and Chiat Day Mojo in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and Taiwan. He spent much of his career at FCB in various roles from managing director to worldwide account director and regional account director. Mr. Pereira joins Euro RSCG after almost five years within the Saatchi & Saatchi network, first as executive creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi Japan, then global creative director on Toyota/Lexus and regional Starbucks business, plus global Novartis.
MSG Entertainment has named Alan Simkowski senior VP-marketing partnerships. Prior to joining MSGE, Mr. Simkowski was VP-integrated sales and marketing for Vibes Media, a leading mobile marketing company in Chicago, where he led revenue growth for clients including Best Buy, Diageo, CBS Radio, Emmis Communications, Entercom Communications and Bonneville International. Before that, he was VP-sponsorships for HOB Entertainment, one of the largest live music concert promoters in North America, where he developed strategic partnerships and programming for the House of Blues Club and Tour divisions.
Greg Power will join Weber Shandwick as president and general manager for Canada. Most recently, Mr. Power was senior VP and general manager of Optimum PR at Cossette. Prior to Optimum, Power was deputy general manager at Edelman Canada, where he led the consumer, technology and interactive practices over a six-year period. He has also held senior positions at Hill & Knowlton and Rapp Collins Worldwide and worked in corporate communications for Avon Canada.
DunnhumbyUSA has elevated Stuart Aitken to CEO. Mr. Aitken was hired in August 2009 as chief operating officer, just as the company opened its Cincinnati headquarters. Since his hiring, DunnhumbyUSA has expanded its partnership with Macy's, establishing a New York office; and under the recently established dunnhumby Canada, a joint venture with Canadian food retailer Metro, has secured the Canadian Tire business. Mr. Aitken's previous experience includes executive roles at arts- and-crafts retail chain Michael's Stores and grocery retail giant Safeway.
Brian Lesser has been promoted to senior VP-general manager of WPP's Media Innovation Group. He will be responsible for the development of new technology and media products for advertisers and agencies. Prior to MIG, Mr. Lesser was VP-product management and director of product marketing at 24/7 Real Media. He has more than 15 years of experience in advertising and technology.
The Zumobi Network, the first premium mobile app network, has appointed Jon Tuck as VP-sponsorship and sales and Brenda Walker as VP-marketing. Prior to Zumobi, Mr. Tuck worked at Wenner Media as the national advertising director for US Weekly Magazine and usmagazine.com and at Media Networks Inc., a division of Time Inc., as the eastern regional manager. Ms. Walker was previously lead principal of Rebel Content, a marketing and content consulting firm for digital media companies. Her background also includes serving as director of content development for Starbucks and senior-level positions in marketing for major record labels such as Virgin and A&M Records.
