StoryboardsOnline unveiled its 2004 International Women of Advertising calendar last month, which serves not only as "a celebration of what these women have accomplished in the eyes of their peers" - as company founder Scott Ownbey puts it - but as a showcase for the company's handiwork. The 12 women featured in the calendar-who represent such agencies as Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Leo Burnett and GSD&M-all gamely submitted photos for the inaugural effort, but those photos were substantially transformed by StoryboardsOnline's digital artists to evoke everything from classic ads to vintage cheesecake to psychedelic environments. There's even a Rosie the Riveter takeoff. The calendar includes thumbnails of the original photos, so you can see what the artists started with, as well as the entry deadlines and dates for major awards shows. The first 500 creative professionals who request the calendar at www.storyboardsonline.com (be sure popups are enabled) will receive a free copy.
