Motocross biker Robbie Madison starts DC Shoes' "Pipe Dream" in the Tahitian jungle and ends it in the Pacific, where surfers watch incredulously as he rides giant waves right along with them. (It's basically real, no special effects.) Nearly as unbelievable: The video has accumulated more than 14 million views in its first week, good for the No. 4 spot on our latest Viral Video Chart as compiled by Visible Measures, covering the week through Sunday.
"Pipe Dream" (and every other branded video) was topped by Facebook, whose "What's on Your Mind" landed at No 1. for the third week in a row, really earning its soundtrack of Queen's "We are the Champions." Newcomers Adidas and Nike nabbed spots two and three, respectively, with 72andSunny's first work for Adidas and and Wieden & Kennedy's "Space Jam" homage starring Blake Griffin and, of course, Marvin the Martian.
Walmart's "Get Back To School Ready" premieres in the seventh spot on the list, and Aeropostale's "Seriously Stretchy Jeans" premieres at tenth. Lexus and Amazon's spots reappear on the chart after a hiatus last week.
