Cossette shops for U.S., Europe deals

[Montreal] After spending $29 million on acquisitions in the last four years, Canada's Cossette Communication Group is looking for more deals in the U.S. and elsewhere and has over $16 million to spend. Cossette, described by Chairman-CEO Claude Lessard as perched on the first rung to become a global communications network, is focusing on Los Angeles and New York, as well as Germany, the U.K., France and Italy. Cossette last week reported an 11% increase in gross income to $146.6 million for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2004.
