Internet video network Revision3 tripled its revenue in 2008 and also signed more than 40 new deals this year with content providers including Hulu, YouTube, MySpace and Yahoo, Revision3 announced this week.

The news of the company's growth comes just two weeks after Revision3 laid off about 10 employees and jettisoned five shows from its online programming lineup, moves that raised questions about the long-term viability of venture-funded Internet programming.

Still, Revision3 said it doubled its audience reach in 2008 and said 48% of its audience has purchased a product or service from one of the company's sponsors, which include Air Force, Sony, Anheuser-Busch, Virgin America, GoDaddy and Dr. Pepper.
