Video-Ad Spending Primed to Triple in 2008

The money pouring into Web-video ads is projected to triple in 2008 to $1.3 billion according to a Borrell Associates study, PaidContent reports. The biggest surge will come from local ads, which are expected to grow twice as fast as national ads. Why? National ads rely on cheaper 15-second pre-rolls, while local video comes in more expensive longer-form formats.
