180 EcoDin is an 'eco-friendly' font created by 180 Amsterdam to save on toner. It's inspired by SPRANQ's 'ecofont', which punches holes in glyphs to save toner, but goes one further to remove the outlines of each glyph, leaving behind only the dots.

The font is based on DIN Mittleschrift. Each glyph was created by hand, and the original DIN outlines were then redrawn into each glyph window and dots placed into the letter shape. The outline was removed after the dots were completed. As a design exercise, 180 also experimented with a 'light' version of the font with up to 4 dots removed from each glyph.
