Porsche is engaging Twitter and Weibo users in a "24 Hour Social Media Race" to celebrate the brand's return to the famed 24 hour long Le Mans race next week. Participants can form teams on the website in advance of the race, which, as in Le Mans, will start on June 14th at 3pm (Central European Time) and will last 24 hours. The "speed" of drivers will be defined by four different criteria: number of tweets per hour, the sum of followers across the team, the quality rate of the tweets and special achievements by answering quizzes in the allocated time on the platform, and not just by the amount of tweets shared.
The first team to cross the finish line will win a VIP package to attend an LMP race in Austin or Shanghai. Fred & Farid, Shanghai, orchestrated the project.
