UK shower gel brand Original Source is letting its customers pick its next special edition fragrance after experiencing the smell virtually -- via a "3D audio experience".
The Facebook-based campaign, created by Work Club, lets people choose between Purple Ginger, Mandarin & Basil and Raspberry & Cocoa after listening to the "sound" of the fragrance on a YouTube video (headphones are advised to make the experience more immersive). The sound experiences were produced in conjunction with Factory Sound.
Every comment, like and retweet earns the fragrance a vote. Next week the campaign will be asking fans for three word reviews of the fragrances based on their audio experiences. One review will be used on the winning product packaging.
