Golden Gate National Parks Conservatory : 75th Anniversary - 1
Celebrating an icon.

Editor's Pick
Goodby Silverstein & Partners has created a series of posters commemorating the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, which turns 75 this Memorial Day Weekend. GSP founder Rich Silverstein, who rides his bike across the Golden Gate to work each day, spent fifteen years on the board of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and personally captured the images together with GSP's photographer and senior art director, Claude Shade. The pair were granted access to areas of the bridge that are otherwise strictly off-limits. The goal of the images (which can all be viewed below in our Slideshow) is to shine a light on hidden parts of the bridge that many have never seen before.
The posters will be on display at outdoor locations around San Francisco. Meanwhile, Goodby is also working on the launch of a website, Band of Bridges, which will celebrate bridges around the world using Google Maps.
