For the UEFA 2012 Final, Heimat Berlin, projection and VFX agency Minivegas and Adidas turned Munich, the site of the historic match, into a giant polling booth. Fans could pick their teams through various actions, like pressing a button on a storefront, taking a certain set of stairs, or even picking a certain color for the sprinkles on their icecream. Each vote was tallied and updated in real time on a dedicated microsite. "Avatars" wearing helmets also took into consideration fan choices from all over the world.
Heimat digitally mapped the faÃ§ade of a shopping center and then tallied the choices in a pretty awesome projection mapping spectacular. The website also streamed the projections live.
