TBWA/Hong Kong CD James Cheung calls Nadaman, a Japanese restaurant at the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai, "stunning." So too may be its ads, which manage to artfully blend food with things generally best left uningested. The guiding principle here is that Nadaman "is about as close as you can get to eating atmosphere," says Cheung. "It combines food and decor so seamlessly, diners are often confused which they are salivating over." The ads run in lifestyle magazines in China and Hong Kong; photography by Chester Ong (www.thehive.hk).
