Disclaimer: we have a weakness for food with faces. So you can imagine our delight to see Dare London's ridiculous scenario featuring picnic staples bickering over how a newcomer to the party happens to be both creamy and low in fat, for Premier Foods' Ambrosia Rice Snack Pots and directed by The Perlorian Brothers. One thing we can't figure out though, what is that hard-boiled egg doing tucked inside a bun?
This just in: pardon our less than worldly knowledge about standard British picnic foods. The Perlorian Brothers have cleared up the egg confusion: "He's actually not, as described, an egg 'wrapped in a bun,' but rather a proper "Scotch Egg," a popular British delicacy made from different sorts of sausage or blood pudding and chicken, duck or quail's eggs and commonly found at pubs and picnics," they explain. "Talking Scotch eggs are not as common, though A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh was originally conceived as a Scotch egg, rather than a bear."
