A humorous new campaign by Argentina's ZonaJobs features a middle-aged "anti-millennial" who finds himself struggling with modern work culture.
Created by FCB Buenos Aires and directed by Clan at Mu Films, the film sees the protagonist, Roberto, looking increasingly furious at and defeated by his millennial colleagues. They bring skateboards and dogs to their funky offices; they take selfies, play table tennis and sit on bean bags. He, in contrast, turns up to work on a work-from-home day, looks miserable crammed in an elevator with people carrying bikes and snaps his pencil in fury when someone sends him a gif. Fin-tuned, restrained humor carries the spot, as does a great performance by the actor playing Roberto.
The film ends with the words: "The job has changed but the place to look for one remains the same," and the campaign aims to communicate that ZonaJobs understands the way that millennials fit into the labor market.
"The challenge of this campaign was to reflect, with humor, how the culture and the way of working has modified and evolved over the past years. And how some people, like Roberto -- the main character of this campaign -- coexist with these new rules in an unknown territory," comments Luciano Landajo, chief operating officer and vice president of accounts at FCB Buenos Aires, in a statement.
