One of Apple’s big announcements today at its “Spring Loaded” event was the debut of the new “supercharged” iPad Pro. The brand’s latest high-end tablet is now powered by the M1 Chip that was introduced last fall with its latest lineup of MacBooks. It also features a Liquid Retina XDR display fueled by 10,000 Mini LEDs as well as a ultrawide 12-megapixel camera that tracks you during video calls. To further show off the features, Apple dropped an inventive spot that likens using the device to the thrill of space exploration and auto racing, with the help of some intense sound effects.

A countdown from a control room blasts us into the iPad’s supercharged innards, the sounds of a rocket taking off introduce the crisp visuals of the new display, the revs of racecars on a track accompany scenes of the device’s ultrafast speeds while more zooms and zaps show off the “flight” of the Apple Pencil, console-like graphics and four-speaker immersive audio.
