Pentagram by way of Rat Pack.

Architecture After Las Vegas

Editor's Pick

Pentagram recently released its latest poster for the Yale School of Architecture, to promote "Architecture After Las Vegas," a major symposium on the influential 1972 book by Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown and written with Steven Izenour, Learning From Las Vegas.

The book helped to expand American architectural thought beyond the era's prevailing current of rigid Modernism. The Vegas poster is just one to come out of the 12-year relationship between Pentagram and Yale Architecture, which has produced over sixty posters with a similar typographic, black and white approach. The latest however, designed by Michael Bierut and Yve Ludwig, takes a "Rat Pack" turn.

For more details, and a download of the poster, check out the Pentagram blog.
