Sid Lee Paris debuts a beautiful trailer for Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, which launches Oct. 29. Directed by Adam Berg at Stink, the film focuses on the game's major theme of standing up to authority, and will be released in cinemas and on television.

Using both live action and VFX by MPC, the trailer is set on a ship at sea that is being attacked by pirates. Bodies are trapped inside the ship as water rises around it, and there is plenty of swashbuckling sword action, punches being thrown, and merciless stabbing. But while all of that happens, our hero decides that he has a choice -- to live, and not just exist.
