A feel-good sports film turns super creepy in AT&T's latest cinema blockbuster
BBDO debuted latest shifty film on Thanksgiving
Editor's Pick
AT&T turns a feelgood basketball film into a creepy sci-fi thriller in an instant in its latest cinema ad.
The spot, by BBDO, debuted just before the Thanksgiving weekend and sees our teenage hero triumph in a thrilling ball game that goes right down to the wire. However, things take a sinister turn when he's left in the locker room as he's confronted by two besuited villains--and there's a final twist that takes things into a completely different realm.
Steve Rogers at Biscuit directed the spot, which is the latest in the company's series blending movie genres to reinforce the range of entertainment services it offers. It's airing during films such as "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms" and "Spider Man: Into the Spider-Verse," via AT&T’s partnership with National Cinema Media and media agency Hearts & Science.
