Ben Smith/Erik Norin : Award Funder

Done a brilliant piece of work but can't afford to submit it to an awards show? Award Funder just might be able to help you. The crowdfunding site, a kind of Kickstarter for creative awards, is the brainchild of R/GA creatives Ben Smith and Erik Norin, who set it up as a side project. The idea is that creatives upload their case studies (side projects and personal work that isn't backed by an agency), and raise funding from others towards the entry fee for their chosen awards show. In return for their cash, backers get credits as an executive producer. When enough money is raised to cover the entry fee, Award Funder will handle the administration of the entry - and then it's in the hands of the jury.
