Scorching summer temperatures may not be conducive to hitting the ice, but that's no excuse for diehard hockey players to take it easy in the off-season. Luckily for them, Nike Bauer Hockey and Minneapolis-based agency Olson are providing some digital motivation in a special section of NikeBauer.com, where players can create their own intense three-week training regimens to gear up for the upcoming season. The online training tool creates daily and weekly calendars with a selection of drills and exercises to be completed, each in the form of video demonstrations conducted by a team of world-class hockey trainers (up to 80 different videos in all). The program can also go mobilethe training videos can be downloaded to iPods and PSPs, and trainees can also receive tips from professional players via text messages on their mobile phones.
