Celebrity Drag Queens Lick Magnum Bars in Seductive Unilever Spot
Ad Launched at Cannes Film Festival
Editor's Pick
Celebrity drag queens look as seductive as the ice cream pops in this gorgeous (and daring, for parent company Unilever) spot for the Magnum brand. "Be True To Your Pleasure" launched at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend and features entertainer and recording artist William Belli, as well as Gregory Woo and James Charis. Set to a sultry version of Rihanna's "Umbrella," performed by Mechanical Bride, the spot shows the stars giving come-hither looks at the camera as their mouths linger over the ice cream bars.
Shot in Los Angeles by Martin Werner and produced by Propaganda/Bacon, the campaign was created by Spanish agency Lola, the global creative agency for Magnum since 2008 and part of the Mullen Lowe Group.
Sophie Galvani, global brand vice president for Magnum at Unilever, described the ad in a statement as "a beautiful illustration of Magnum's philosophy. . .Everything we do at Magnum is about inspiring, enabling and daring people to take that moment of pleasure for themselves. It doesn't matter who you are, or what you take pleasure in; this film has been created to inspire you to seize it."
