Braun teamed up with animation studio Aardman to make its latest online spot, and the result is more akin to a music video than an ad for razors.

The film, created by BBDO's global content arm Flare BBDO, uses stop motion animation to take the viewer through an array of shapes, patterns and designs created in facial and body hair using Braun styling tools. The spot, set to a new track by electronic dance artist Gramatik, features over 50 men, inculding some Instagram influencers, such as male models Andrea Hamman, Chris John Millington and Luke Ditella, who are known for their facial hair.

Director Will Studd explained some of the challenges of the project in an interview on Aardman's website: "There were a lot of "firsts" for me with this project.....It was the first time I had worked with beards as my canvas so there was a lot of research into hair density, hair tightness, and hair growth patterns. It was also the first time I had ever changed the physical appearance of my models by cutting their hair."

You can see more about how it was done in a Behind the Scenes film.
