Agency Beattie McGuinness Bungay created the Information Blanket to combat infant mortality in developing countries.

Launching first in Uganda, the blanket serves as both a protective layer of material for infants and an information guide on newborn health matters. It carries information about breastfeeding, immunization vaccinations, body temperature and warning signs of illness, all printed in the local language.

BMB has partnered with The Shanti Uganda Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving infant and maternal health and providing care and education to mothers in Uganda, to help distribute the blankets. The public can support the initiative by donating money at its website; meanwhile BMB hope to launch the concept around the world.
