Why Is Cascadian Farm 'Flower Bombing' California?
Gorgeously Filmed Stunt Is an Attempt to Boost the Area's Bee Population
Oct 14, 2014
In this uplifting short film from Minneapolis agency Solve, organic food brand Cascadian Farm helps an agricultural community dependent on bees by "flower bombing" the area with thousands of colorful wildflower seed balls. It shows how the company employed a crop duster to spread the seeds throughout Yolo County, California, with the aim of boosting its bee population. The stunt is all gorgeously captured on film by director Kyle Ruddick, through L.A.-based production company Helo, and set to music from Sigur Rós.
