In this sweet commercial from Dutch grocery chain Albert Heijn, we meet Ben, a tween-age boy who's finding his family's Christmas celebration a bit difficult. He's too old to be playing with the kids, but the adults don't want him joining in their grown-up conversation and jokes, either. At dinnertime he's demoted to the kiddie table and looks particluarly crestfallen. However, one kind relative intervenes -- and suddenly he's having the time of his life with all the delicious food.

The spot, by TBWA/Neboko Amsterdam, is set to the soundtrack of iconic French singer Charles Aznavour's "Yesterday When I Was Young," and was directed by Ismael ten Heuvel at Pinkrabbit.

It's an original angle on Christmas, from a brand that has built a reputation on heartwarming spots (last year's ad featuring a highway worker was particularly good).
