Description

Our eye-catching advertising campaign for Disney’s release of Cruella on Digital and Blu-ray was just like the film’s notorious villain: It wasn’t afraid to make a statement.

As the campaign lead, we worked closely with the publicity team and other agencies. We also collaborated with influencers and artists to highlight iconic looks from the film. From glamorous sustainable fashion and fabulous drag to adorable dogs and handcrafted chocolate creations, we served social media Cruella—with our own personal flair.

CREATORS CHANNELING THEIR INNER CRUELLA
To inspire fans to watch the film at home, our creators showed off their takes on Cruella. Their looks were brilliant, darling.

CRUELLA’S COSTUMES TURNED DEVILISHLY DELICIOUS
Working with a chocolate craftsman, we created miniature versions of two of Cruella’s iconic costumes. These masterpieces were shared on social (including by Disney Eats!) and featured in a branded mailer we made for influencers and media outlets, which got a lot of attention. This chocolate couture even influenced Project Runway’s Nick Verreos to share his own Cruella-inspired design!

WICKEDLY ARTISTIC SOCIAL CARDS
We rounded out the campaign with fun social cards that leaned into the film’s aesthetics.

Promotion for John McCrea’s Reddit AMA
We also worked with the publicity team to promote the AMA featuring John McCrea, who answered questions about his character, the film, and more.

The results? Smashing—for both Disney’s Cruella and our creative shop. (We won a Clio for this campaign!)
