In yet another development in the ongoing light beer wars, almost immediately after Miller Lite debuted a pair of ads crashing Bud Light's "Dilly Dilly" kingdom to tout how "in the real world more taste is what matters," Bud Light dropped its own retort.
A new ad depicts the Bud Light King tsk-tsking at Miller Lite for imitating his kingdom. "I've been made aware of your recent advertisement," he says. "I brought you your shipment of corn syrup, and this is how you repay me?" he asks, taking us back to the brand's Super Bowl spot that kicked off the battle.
He then suggests that if Miller is going so far as to imitate his kingdom, the brand should consider also putting an ingredients label on its packaging. "People want to know what ingredients are in their beer. But what do I know? I'm just the king of a kingdom that doesn't brew beer with corn syrup."
