Guilherme Marcondes : Bunraku Title Sequence
Puppetry meets animation
Published On
Oct 05, 2011
Editor's Pick
Director Guy Moshe picked Guilherme Marcondes to create titles for his martial arts thriller Bunraku after seeing Marcondes' short film, Tyger, which combined puppetry with animation. The result is this stunning title sequence, which uses elements of live action puppetry, 2D and 3D animation to explain the backstory of the universe in which Bunraku takes place.
The titles were shot at the Hornet Workshop in Brooklyn, and you can read more about the process behind on the work on Hornet's website.
