It might have been Mission: Impossible that spawned the idea of the self-destructing message, but Jacob Robbins' "Burn Note" is still just as cool -- without the fire hazard. The entrepreneur has made the web site, which enables users to send messages that will self-destruct in a set amount of time, public. According to the Web site, the service uses no logging or storage -- your emails are basically completely secure.

Here's how it works -- you write a note (your next big creative idea, for example) and the person you are sending it to receives a link via email. When he or she clicks on the link, they can see the message. A timer begins as soon as the message is opened.
