Stalk Jawas to Win Prizes
Editor's Pick
To celebrate May 4, better known in nerd world as Star Wars Day, Verizon has started a social media droid hunt #CapturetheDroid in New York City and across the States.
A series of cute films including the above, this and this one, promote the hunt and show how Jawas have captured our favorite droid, R2-D2 and are threatening to sell him to the Empire. It's up to fans to find him by following @VerizonWireless on Twitter, where they can pick up clues. When they think they know where he is, they can input the info on a dedicated site for a chance to win exclusive Star Wars goods, Droid Turbo devices and even a trip ot Comic-Con in San Diego.
The campaign is also being supported by wild posting and events in NYC.
