Virgin Mobile Teaches Cats to Take Selfies, Breaks the Internet

Mother New York combines two of the Internet's favorite things, cats and selfies, for a new campaign for Virgin Mobile. Created to celebrate the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5 on the network (which includes a 16-megapixel camera and is therefore perfect for selfies, the campaign, directed by Tool's J.J. Adler, created miniature versions of the most popular selfie destinations. They're just the right size for kitties. Then, furry toys, machines and various other things were used to get the kitties to shoot their own selfies.

All submitted "Catsies" will live on Virgin Mobile's Tumblr page and website

The site also offers downloadable backdrops for photographers, whether of the human or feline variety. The company will also take #catsie submissions from Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr to award the "Catsie" awards, which will be promoted via a partnership with I Can Haz Cheezburger.
